You don't need to travel far to enjoy your own treasure hunt in Sooke. Within 15 miles of the Inn there are over 70 caches including several within a kilometer of our door.

Sooke is Amazing
Ocean Wilderness Inn made the first donation to the new Sooke Region Fruit Tree Project, which is run by Sooke Food CHI. The apples and plums were harvested by Kundalini yogis who where performing seva (service to others) during their yoga camp weekend.

MP Strahl finds the Hot Spot while Chasing the Golden Butterfly
The outing was a demonstration by NPTGS (geocahing group) on Chasing the Golden Butterfly, a heritage tourism initiative combining a traditional passport program with the rapidly-expanding pastime of geocaching. (Note from Ocean Wilderness Inn - there have recently been 4 new caches place within 5 miles of the inn.)

Watching Whales Watching Us
Ocean Wilderness Inn comment: There is at least one gray whale that frequently visits Botanical Beach in Port Renfew.
