Television show filmed at Ocean Wilderness Inn

by Lori LeCount

Ocean Wilderness hosted the guest and crew of a segment of Project Mom.  The show, Project Mom, was filmed on August 1, 2, and 3rd at various locations on Vancouver Island.  It will air on Country Music Television Canada in January 2008.  The episode was inspired by country music star Terri Clark.

The producer of the show explained that "the premise is that we take real, hard working Mom's from across the country (there is also a Project Dad) and give them a couple of days getaway, inspired by their favourite country artists. Terri Clark is a country music superstar who owns property on Vancouver Island, which is the inspiration for our Terri Clark-themed episode. We will be taping the episode on Vancouver Island with a participant that we select.  As with all the episodes, arriving at a destination involves accommodation at a hotel/inn, which we feature prominently in the first segment of the show.”

Our "Project Mom", Teresa, went whale watching, on a wine and cheese tour, and ATV riding.  Le Sooke Spa donated a sauna and massage treatment that provided Teresa a needed respite.

Teresa was nominated by her son CJ, and was taken wholly by surprise about what her 3 day adventure would include.  The filming days were long for the guest mom and production crew.  The weather was lovely.  Teresa was extremely positive about her experience in the show.
