This day-long workshop covers all you need to know to complete a soapstone

carving: design; roughing out; finishing and polishing.

$75 per person

includes all materials,

Instructor:

Katherine Woods has been carving for over forty years. She taught carving and wood turning at Camosun and Tools ‘n Space Woodworking for twenty years.  (Thanks to Roy Diment for the use of the image of Kate's hands)

Her sculpture appears frequently at Sooke Fine Arts and at local galleries.
